STUDIO 70 ART CLASSES (Vaucluse)
This friendly and relaxed space offers beginner to advanced level classes. With 40 years of experience under her belt, teacher Rachel Adler has run Studio 70 since 1981. Perfect for those wanting to enhance their drawing and painting skills, you will learn to work with everything from pencils and watercolour, to painting with oil, acrylic and mixed-media. Suitable for all ages, the classes are also ideal for students completing major HSC works.

BLUEBOTTLE ART STUDIO (Randwick)
If you're looking for a great, kids birthday party idea, look no further than Bluebottle Art Studio. Apart from the birthday classes, the studio also hosts a variety of classes that encourage kids to respond to the world through creativity and imagination. You can book an after-school class from 3:30pm to 5:00pm for children between ages five to 12, or a toddler-hour class from 10:30am to 11:30am. Classes are kept small and are a great social opportunity for the kids!

ROSLYN OXLEY9 GALLERY (Paddington)
This legendary gallery is a Sydney institution. Since 1982, Roslyn Oxley9 has a proud history of supporting contemporary art from home and abroad. This quaint gallery has supported some of Australia's most loved artists, including Tracey Moffat, David Noonan and Fiona Hall. In January 2013, Roslyn Oxley - who owns the gallery along with her husband Tony - was awarded the Order of Australia for services to the visual arts and community.

ARTSPACE SYDNEY (Woolloomooloo)
Australia's leading interdisciplinary space for contemporary art, Artspace is all about testing new ideas and sparking public conversation. Through exhibitions, public programs and performances, artists from all generations experiment, collaborate and explore every aspect of contemporary art. The NSW State Government - in association with Franco Belgiorno-Nettis - raised a groundbreaking $1.5 million to redevelop the multi-story warehouse Artspace relocated to in 1992.

ALASKA PROJECTS (Elizabeth Bay)
This Sydney-based, artist-run initiative is worth a visit purely for the quirkiness of its location. Situated across two disused carpark spaces in Kings Cross, Alaska Projects has hosted over 100 exhibitions. The multi-disciplinary programs are spread across music, film, dance and performance. Alaska won an FBi SMAC award for most innovative space in 2013, and was nominated for Best Arts Program in 2015.
