Winter's now in full swing and here at Nabo nothing warms our hearts more than reading all of your wonderful posts.
We're constantly inspired by all of the creative ways people use Nabo and we want to share some of our favourite posts from the month of July. Enjoy the read!
- P.S. If you've seen a great post that you think would look good in next month's blog, post a link in the comments 😁
Coffee with a Cop
Kelvin from NSW is spreading the news about a great opportunity to have coffee with a police officer. It's so easy to forget that law enforcers are ordinary people, so this really is a great way to get to know the folks who keep our neighbourhoods safe every day!
Living with a disability can often be disheartening, especially when you feel like you're going it alone. Thankfully, there are good people like Jill from WA, who is using Nabo to reach out and create a support group for people in similar situations to her mother. Way to go Jill!
We love celebrating the successes of our members and Cherie from NSW is no exception. Her post is a great example of how we all can support our neighbours and lift each other up.
(FYI - If you did want to vote for Cherie, follow the instructions on the post. She is number 22 on the list of names)
These days there's so much to keep track of that it's easy to fall prey to online scammers. Luckily, Mark from WA is vigilant and used Nabo to warn his neighbours about a new potential scam. Smart thinking!
The Running Cow
No, it's not a new kind of dance move; Believe it or not, Darren from VIC has donned a cow onesie and is running in Whittlesea to raise money for charity! At Nabo we love the creative ways our members engage with volunteer work and enrich their communities. Great work Darren and keep moo-ving!
