Meet Steven from Booragoon

Steven was our runner-up in the Nabo Suburb Photo Competition, dazzling Nabo users with his breath-taking photo of the State Memorial at sunset. Long time resident of Booragoon, Steven is a web designer with a penchant and talent for photography, and a love for his local community.

What’s your favourite place in your neighbourhood?

Wireless Hill. I volunteer with the local community group Friends of Wireless Hill. The group is made made up of volunteers who protect and conserve the bushland of Wireless Hill Park.

Can you share any local hidden treasures with your neighbours?

Booragoon Tyre Service & Genie Auto Electrics on Norma Road, Myaree. They have great service.

If you could improve one thing about your local area, what would it be?

Maybe a local family-friendly pub would be nice, although I don't know for sure if there is a market for it. Maybe people enjoy the fact there is no trouble from a local pub? I don't know.

What do you like about Nabo?

It opens a door for communication with locals, to find out more about events, locations and services. The vibe is friendly, and down to earth.
