At Nabo, our passion is to provide a private online space for members to engage with their local community. Over 300,000 Nabo members love meeting new people, hearing about local events and classifieds, learning about new businesses and joining local groups, which they can all do on Nabo - for free.
So that Nabo can continue to provide this space for community interaction, we will occasionally rely on partnerships. You may have already seen some of these, from Spacer, OneFlare, books from Hachette or even Channel 7. So what are partnerships?
From time to time, Nabo’s Partners may run advertising space on the site. This is a necessary by-product of maintaining Nabo without charging our members to use it. However, we know that our members still want to see exciting local content that is applicable to their daily lives.
For this reason, Nabo is very selective with who we partner with and what we show our members. For example, Oneflare is an Australian-grown company that supports local businesses by providing them with a platform to connect with local residents in their community. Pawshake wants to connect local pet-owners to pet sitters in their area. These are just two examples but in a nutshell, Nabo only partners with brands that have a local, community focus and provide a service with values aligned with our own.
In saying this, we’re human. Sometimes we get it wrong. If you see something that you feel doesn’t align with Nabo’s values, tell us. This online space was purpose built to connect Australian communities all over the country. It was built for your suburb and it was built for you. Your feedback is always at the core of what Nabo does and will do in future, so keep it coming.
