The Eastern Suburbs' Quirkiest Stores

Is your wardrobe looking a little too bland and boring? Did you see three people wearing the very same dress you bought just this weekend? If you want to add something a little different to your wardrobe, or perhaps find some new fittings for your apartment, we've got you sorted. The Eastern Suburbs is a mecca of all things stylish and unique, and with hand-made wears and vintage goods galore you'll find the perfect pieces that scream 'you'.

DEAR SEPTEMBER (WAVERLEY)

Bright, quirky and art-y, Dear September is a store sure to bring a smile to your face. Grab your gal-pals and have a leisurely peruse of this delightful Waverley store. Jam packed with vintage and modern home-wares, there's a lot of life to the store and it has a cheerful aesthetic that's infectious. You'll want to buy everything from the adorably mini pot plants down to the palm tree printed knives and forks (adorable and functional). The store really is an ode to spring and the beginning of warm bright weather, so capture a little sun from Dear September and bring it into your own home.

RUEZE VINTAGE (Paddington)

The vintage love is strong in this Paddington second-hand store. Carefully curated by owner Angela Greenway, this pre-loved gem stocks mainly Australian 'recycled' designers including Lisa Ho and Linda Jackson. Be dazzled by stunning pastel dresses reflective largely of the 1960's and 1970's that will leave you wishing time-machines were the real deal. There are modern touches to this store, showing the way the stylings of Rueze expertly blend vintage and contemporary fashion.

Location:  294 Oxford Street, Paddington NSW 2021

REVIVRE (Double Bay)

High end at a fraction of the cost? Sign me up! Pick your fashion poison, be it Chanel, YSL, Gucci or Burberry, and pick up some pieces without the price-tag. I should state that a visit to Revivre still isn't exactly budget-friendly, but when you compare the cost with the original pricing, you'll be able to convince yourself that you made a cost-effective 'investment'. We would seriously recommend a scroll through their enviable Instagram feed before a visit. That way you'll be well-versed in what's hot and available (who needs a date when you have Chanel?).
